As the Ibis Cancer Research Unit enters its' fourth year, we are very proud of Ibis
residents' efforts and support in raising funds for cancer research so we all might "live
with.out the fear of cancer". Much of that support has come from you, our ANNUAL
MEMBERS. Please renew your membership or upgrade to a Life Membership and help
us continue the fight.
Our first event is reserved for our members. On December 8, 2009, at 7;00 P,M. Jf:in the
Ibis club house, Dr. Jeffery Morton Ph.D, will lead a discussion of key foreign policy
issues facing our country. Dr. Morton is Professor oflntemationaL Law and Poticies at
FAU. "A very impressive lecturer" are the words often spoken by those at Ibis familiar
with Dr. Morton's thought-provoking discussions at the Life Long Learning Society.
Please promptly renew your membel'ship so you can join us for this important lecture.
Our mission is to raise funds to support cancer research at the University of Miami
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the premier cancer research facility in South
Florida. The physicians and scientists at the Cancer Center are doing ground breaking
work recognized world wide. It is important to remember th.at 99.1% of all funds raised
go directly to research.
One of the benefits of your membership is that you will have priority access to the cancer
specialists at Sylvester in the unfortunate event you should need these doctors. To ensure
this benefit is available to each member of your family, we urge you to join for all members of your household. To renew your membership and/or to enroll another
